About our products...

At Fore-Ever Green, we use professional-grade products from Lesco – the same ones used on 90 of the top 100 golf courses in the U.S. Our fertilizers are slow-release formulations that give your lawn a steady, even greening without surge growth. Our feritlizer blends are fortified with iron for enhanced color and high in potassium to help your lawn against summer stress. Many of our competitors, especially the large, national companies, use high nitrogen quick-release fertilizers in these applications, resulting in excessive growth, and also hurting the root system. This actually causes water loss in the grass and depletes energy reserves and makes the turf more susceptible to disease incidence, such as brown patch.

With our fertilization programs, we use heavy nitrogen fertilizers on in the fall applications. University research shows at least 60% of your lawn’s nitrogen requirements should be applied in the fall, when grass growth slows, allowing for more use of the nutrients by the turf’s root system. Most grass plant's root development occurs over the fall, and especially the winter months. This approach causes the turf to store the nutrients over the winter giving you a thick, lush green lawn in the spring so you don’t have to apply harmful amounts of quick-release nitrogen in the spring.

Our approach to weed control... Another superior aspect of the Fore-Ever Green program relates to our weed control strategies. Our approach focuses on weed prevention. The best defense of a weed-free lawn is a thick heathy lawn. At the heart of the weed prevention effort is an initial pre-emergent crabgrass control application applied with the Early Spring service. While the pre-emergent will control most of your crabgrass, broadleaf weeds such as dandelions, are controlled with broad leaf weed control (the weeds must be up and growing in order to be controlled). Our equipment allows our teechnicians to truly customize our weed control. We have the ability to use a fine-mist liquid product, applied only to where the weeds are present. This technique produces superior control while reducing usage of the weed controls around your home. Many other companies apply the weed control to the entire lawn, needlessly. Excess weed control is actually more harmefull to your lawn than it is good. We use our weed control where needed. This is not only bettter for your lawn, but it safer for you, your family, your pets, and also the environment.
